Mr E Masks is the work of one man, one workshop, and an obsession with getting every detail right.

Lee Ellis has been creating with his hands for as long as he can remember. Back in 2009, it started simply — a custom airsoft mask made for a friend. That first mask was crafted from fibreglass, and it set everything in motion. But that spark never went out. After being made redundant, Lee found himself in his garden shed, sculpting latex masks and resin busts of The Predator while his wife was at work and the kids were at school. What began as a way to fill time quickly became something far more serious.

That shed has long since been replaced by a secure, dedicated workshop on a local industrial estate in the UK — but the spirit remains exactly the same.

Every Mr E Mask is researched, designed, sculpted, moulded, cast, painted, and finished entirely by Lee. No production lines. No shortcuts. No technology doing the heavy lifting. Just skill, patience, and an uncompromising eye for detail honed over nearly two decades.

Every skill Lee has — from sculpting and moulding to casting and painting — is entirely self-taught. No formal training, no shortcuts borrowed from others. Just years of dedication, experimentation, and a relentless drive to improve.

Lee's passion has always been creature and alien design — the kind of work that demands both artistic vision and technical mastery. He sources only the finest quality materials available, because he knows that what goes into a mask is just as important as the hands that shape it. And because every mask is made individually, no two are ever exactly alike — each one is a unique piece in its own right.

A Family Effort

While Lee handles every stage of production alone, Mr E Masks has grown into a true family business. His wife and son now support the operation behind the scenes — managing the website, social media, admin, and purchasing — so Lee can stay focused on what he does best: making extraordinary masks.
