Silicone Masks for Film, TV and Theatre

On camera and on stage, a mask has to stand up to close scrutiny. Our handmade realistic silicone masks are used by film, TV and theatre productions looking for lifelike character transformations without the hours of prosthetic application, and we can work to your production schedule.

Natural movement on camera

Soft, skin-like silicone moves with the actor's face. Expressions, jaw movement and subtle shifts all come through, which is what makes a silicone mask read as real in close-up work rather than a costume piece. Fine surface detail and hand-painted finishing hold up under bright lights and HD lenses.

Silicone versus prosthetics

Prosthetic makeup is applied directly to the skin, piece by piece, which gives you full customisation at the cost of hours in the chair and a fresh application every day. A mask slips on in moments, comes off the same way, and is ready again tomorrow. For productions shooting the same character across multiple days, that repeatability saves real time.

Between takes and between scenes

Care is simple, a gentle clean with mild soap and water, a full air-dry, and storage away from direct sunlight. Everything you need to know about fitting, removal and maintenance is covered in our silicone use and care guide, including specific steps for full-head masks, face-only masks with straps, and sleeves.

Working with production schedules

Every mask is handmade to order. Each product page shows the current production and dispatch estimate, and delivery time is added after dispatch. For time-sensitive shoots we recommend ordering as early as you can, and if you are working to a fixed date, get in touch before ordering so we can talk timing through.

Masks suited to character work

  • Albert – a realistic old man silicone mask for aged character transformations.
  • Stan – another full old man transformation, each mask hand-finished so no two are identical.
  • Norman – a face-only old man mask with adjustable straps, quick to fit and remove between setups.
  • Dave and Eddie – realistic young man masks for undercover, disguise and identity-swap work.
  • Hollow Whisper – a full horror character for darker productions, with optional sparse hair.

The full range is in our human masks collection.
